Blizzard '09

After Roxas and Eric had warned Zack that the cool weather was definitely turning into a blizzard, after he'd gathered food and gone to the Clothes Box to see what it could give him (a larger bag, several blankets, coats and warmer clothes), Zack had headed straight home. He considered leaving the gunblade, but it was practically a gun and guns were better than swords. So Austin had told him.

There weren't a lot of important things in the hut. Most things were easily replaceable. He wished he'd built storm shutters and a fireplace, but it was too late for that now. He did the best he could and gave the place a final look before closing the door. He hoped it wouldn't be crushed by the snow of a blizzard.

"Alright, Strife. Let's go check on the ladies," he said with a grin. His mood was changing from serious and focused to just serious. There was just one thing left to do. They headed down the beach toward the dojo.

"Yuffie? Aeris?" he called out before he had made it to the door. "Hey, you two in there?" It was definitely getting colder and soon the leather 'Sephiroth' jacket would not suffice to keep him warm.

She offered a brief, amused smile. She was sure that this place would be perfectly safe--it didn't feel like it was going to be that terrible of a storm. It wasn't bad enough to stay in the Compound.

She knelt down at Strife's approach, and scratched his ear gently. "You can stay if you want to. Kyokyo's inside, sleeping under the covers. I don't want to wake her."

"Alright. Glad that's settled then," he grinned, happy she didn't argue with him for the fun of having a debate. He smiled at dog and woman as he walked past them and into the dojo.

"I brought some things just in case," he said, once he set down the large bundle of blankets, coats and warmer clothes he'd been carrying. What he'd meant was just in case she stubbornly stayed out at the dojo.
